In Saint-Nic, on Pentrez beach, Au Grès du Vent is a land-yachting school based on chemin des Dunes. Sessions use the wide sandy beach when the tide exposes enough space for driving; timings therefore depend on the tide timetable, wind and ground conditions.
With children
Single-seater land yachts are accessible from age 9. Younger children can join from age 5 in a two-seater with an adult, allowing families to try the activity without waiting until children can steer independently.
What to know before visiting
Helmets are provided. The school recommends gloves and glasses for protection against sand and wind, and has changing rooms. A session may be adapted, postponed or cancelled if the weather or state of the beach makes driving unsuitable.
