From Corsica’s eastern plain, around Ghisonaccia, Corsica River guides canyoning descents and aquatic hikes in the mountains of the hinterland. The routes have different difficulty levels: natural slides, optional jumps and zip lines let you discover white water with family or friends.
Which canyon should you choose and at what price in 2026?
- Rando aqua sensation: €55, ages 8 and over, with a 10-minute approach, around 2 hours of descent, a 15-minute return walk and a 50-metre zip line. Jumps and difficult passages are not compulsory.
- Vagli, introductory canyon: €60, ages 9 and over, with a 45-minute approach walk and 2 hours of descent, abseils and zip lines.
- U Macini, adventure canyon: €65, ages 9 and over, intermediate+ level, around a 30-minute approach walk and 2 hours in the water.
Can you book from Ajaccio or Porticcio?
You can come from different parts of the island, but Corsica River is not a canyoning centre located in Ajaccio or Porticcio. The operator is listed in Ghisonaccia, on the east coast: check the exact mountain meeting point and journey before booking. A distant canyon is not a local excursion in Ajaccio.
What to know before visiting
You must be able to swim; outings depend on river flow and the weather. The operator provides canyoning shoes, a 5.5 mm neoprene wetsuit, helmet and harness. Bring swimwear, socks and a tie for long hair.
The little extra: technical footwear is loaned at no additional charge, and the three routes let you choose a level truly suited to your group.
