In Ville-d’Avray, DAGO café céramique invites visitors to personalise a pre-made ceramic piece rather than throw clay on a potter's wheel. Choose from bowls, mugs, plates, vases or figurines, then decorate them using the paints and tools supplied.
How does a session work?
Once you have chosen a piece, the team explains decoration techniques and provides brushes, colours and inspiration. A drink or sweet treat can accompany the creative session.
What happens to the piece afterwards?
DAGO takes care of glazing and firing at over 1,000°C. Your creation is ready to collect approximately one week later. Once fired, it can be used every day and is dishwasher-safe.
What age is it suitable for?
Children can take part from age 6; under-16s must be accompanied. In 2026, the adult package is advertised at around €32, while an under-12s package costs €25.
An extra detail: everyone takes home something genuinely usable, not just a workshop exercise.
