At Quend-Plage, Éolia has a departure point separate from its main Fort-Mahon base: the Éolia Marquenterre chalet on rue Capet, with direct access to the beach. Sessions make use of the same immense foreshore, with nearly 20 km of sand between Baie de Somme and Baie d'Authie.
What happens during the session?
The introductory session begins on a marked course where participants learn to rig the land yacht, start, slow down, stop and turn. When the group's level and conditions allow, the session may continue with a trip along the beach.
Good to know before you visit
Times are set according to the tides and appear directly in the booking schedule. The wind and condition of the sand may change the actual route; the booked time slot therefore takes precedence, rather than fixed opening hours.
How does it differ from Éolia Fort-Mahon?
It is the same operator but with two different departure bases: Fort-Mahon-Plage on one side and the Marquenterre chalet at Quend-Plage on the other. The Marquenterre chalet at Quend-Plage therefore has its own departure point, separate from the Fort-Mahon base.
The spot
Quend-Plage shares the bay's vast foreshore with several independent schools. Éolia Marquenterre should in particular be distinguished from Ozone and Éole Zone, which have their own teams, contacts and offers in the same municipality.
