In Gruissan, Europlongée offers introductory sea dives for people who have never tried scuba diving. The half-day experience includes equipment, the boat journey, a briefing and an individual dive accompanied by an instructor.
How does the first dive work?
After being fitted with equipment, allow around 20 minutes by boat to reach the dive site. Once there, the instructor accompanies the beginner one-to-one during an underwater session of about 20 minutes, following familiarisation with the gear at the surface.
What age and price?
The introductory dive is open from age eight, with parental consent required for minors. In 2026, the advertised price is €95, including all equipment, specific insurance and a first-dive certificate.
Before you visit
Trips depend on weather conditions and the centre's timetable. Bring swimwear, a towel and sun protection.
Europlongée's main strength is its gradual approach to a first dive: the half-day allows plenty of time for welcoming participants, the journey and the underwater experience rather than rushing them through a quick dip.
