In Mazamet, in the Montagne Noire, La Ferme de Cancabirol welcomes families to a mini-farm and pony rides.
Meeting the animals
A calf, donkey, ponies, horses, goats, lambs, ducks and rabbits make up the small farm. Visits are by reservation and allow children to meet the animals up close in a rural setting.
Riding a pony
Pony rides are led, with 30-minute or 1-hour options. The farm also offers pony lessons and horse rides for adults, always by reservation.
It is a simple and very hands-on outing for young children: little staging, but real animals, contact and a first introduction to horse riding. The mini-farm is open all year round by reservation.
