In Les Sables-d’Olonne, Immersion Plongée 85 offers introductory sea dives supervised by a qualified instructor. This first dive is limited to a depth of 6 metres, requires no previous experience and includes all necessary equipment.
How does the introductory dive work?
After the briefing and getting equipped, you head to an easily accessible site for a dive lasting around 15 minutes. Equipment provided includes a wetsuit, air cylinder, regulator and buoyancy compensator. The introductory dive is available from age 8.
What if you want to go further?
A three-session discovery course lets you progress further: familiarisation with the equipment and a first dive, a boat trip with technical skills, then an assessment dive depending on conditions and the level reached. Immersion Plongée 85 also offers training from level 1 to level 4.
Know before you go
Meet at Port Olona, ponton du Vendée Globe, at 691 boulevard de l’Île Vertime. The school has just one instructor, so the premises may be closed when he is out at sea with divers. Contact him before travelling.
