Montgolfière du Vexin is based in Chérence, at the heart of the Vexin Français Regional Natural Park. Flights depart within the Vexin, with routes changing according to the wind, sometimes towards Giverny and the Seine valley.
Where will you fly?
Flights take place less than an hour from Paris over the Vexin, bends of the Seine and Epte valley. Depending on the wind, the balloon may drift towards Giverny, Vétheuil, La Roche-Guyon or other nearby villages. No particular route can be guaranteed: a hot-air balloon travels with the air currents.
How many passengers are on board?
The basket is certified for six passengers plus the pilot, providing a more personal experience than large baskets accommodating 12 to 20 passengers.
What to know in 2026
The weekday ticket, valid Monday to Thursday excluding public holidays, is advertised at €250 per passenger. The ticket valid seven days a week costs €280 per passenger. Gift vouchers are valid for one year.
Can a balloon take off near your home?
Potentially, under certain conditions. The operator says it may consider a departure close to your home if suitable land is available and the owner agrees. That does not make it a private sightseeing circuit: the actual route still depends entirely on the wind.
The extra touch
The Vexin is particularly beautiful in morning or evening light: Seine meanders, cliffs, villages and landscapes associated with Impressionist painters make this flight more distinctive than an ordinary trip over the outer Paris suburbs.
