In Saint-Anthème, the Parc d’activités de montagne de Prabouré offers Mountain Kart descents in the heart of the Forez. This small, unpowered kart is driven down a mountain track dotted with bends and bumps, with the Jonquilles drag lift taking you up before another descent.
Who is Mountain Kart suitable for?
The activity is open to adults and children who meet the park's stated requirements: at least 1.30 m tall and under 100 kg. Minors must remain under adult supervision. A helmet is worn for the descent.
What else is there at Prabouré?
Mountain Kart is part of a range of summer activities: a giant zip wire, rando-ferrata, downhill scootering, enchanted nets, a barefoot trail, orienteering, a panoramic tower and hiking or mountain-biking routes. This makes it easy to put together a full day on site with activities at very different levels.
What to know before visiting
The park is at 9, lieu-dit Prabouré, 63660 Saint-Anthème. Some activities may depend on the weather, visitor numbers or opening conditions: the park updates this information on its website and webcam.
A little extra: the lift saves you pushing the kart back up after each descent and lets you enjoy repeated runs while taking in the mountain scenery.
