In Quend-Plage, between Baie de Somme and Baie d’Authie, Ozone is a specialist school on rue Basile Capet, facing the wide Picardy beaches. Sessions take place on Quend-Plage sands with state-qualified instructors; the land yacht, helmet and waterproof suit if needed are supplied.
Which session should you choose?
In 2026, Ozone offers introductory sessions for beginners, adults, teenagers, families and groups, with no prior experience. For a different discovery, partner Beach Spirit also offers rides in a “Vitesse Pure” high-speed two-seater land yacht, driven by an experienced instructor.
Good to know before you visit
The decisive factor is the wind. The school opens all year, but sessions may be adapted or replaced if conditions are unsuitable. The site recommends warm, windproof clothes, gloves and closed shoes or boots; safety equipment is supplied.
For groups
Groups, companies and seminars are explicitly welcomed. The site advertises decreasing rates from 11 people and, by quotation, packages combining activity, accommodation, meeting room and catering with partners.
A little something extra
After the session, Base Sud lets you extend the outing directly facing the sea. It is also a useful landmark: the land-sailing centre and brasserie share the same location in Quend-Plage.
