From the port of Macinaggio, San Paulu takes passengers aboard the Pelagus for a 4-hour trip devoted to the marine mammals of Cap Corse. The rigid inflatable boat carries up to 12 people and heads for the deep offshore trenches along the west coast, where dolphins, pilot whales, sperm whales and fin whales can be encountered depending on the day.
Responsible observation
San Paulu is a High Quality Whale Watching® certified operator. Binoculars are provided and, when conditions allow, a hydrophone lets you listen to cetacean sounds. These are wild animals: no particular species can be guaranteed on every trip.
Know before you go
The dolphin and cetacean trip departs at 13:30 and returns around 17:30. It runs on Wednesdays and Fridays in May, June and September, then Monday to Friday in July and August. Children under 4 and dogs are not allowed on this rigid inflatable boat for safety reasons.
A little extra
The trip is not limited to looking for dolphins: the route crosses the Parc naturel marin du Cap Corse et de l’Agriate, also offering seabird watching and views of northern Corsica's landscapes. Departures may be rescheduled or cancelled depending on weather conditions.
