At 55 rue de la Belgique in Meudon, Atelier Blanc de Meudon offers more than pottery painting. Aude Loison runs introductory sessions and courses in hand-building and wheel throwing, as well as a pottery café at weekends for those who prefer decorating a ready-made piece.
What should you choose for a first session?
Hand-building lets you construct an object directly by hand; an introduction to the wheel focuses more on centring and pulling up the shape. For a freer format, the pottery café involves choosing a mug, bowl, plate or small object and painting it with the materials provided.
Before you visit in 2026
Children are welcome from age 6 at certain workshops, particularly during the holidays, and parent-child sessions are offered at weekends. Creations cannot be taken home immediately: the workshop handles drying, glazing and firing, with an announced wait of around 10 days for the pottery café and up to 3 weeks for some hand-shaped pieces.
For groups
Private hire allows birthday parties, hen parties and team building. The workshop advertises up to 7 participants for wheel throwing and 8 for hand-building, numbers that allow the ceramicist to pay close attention to everyone's technique.
The real appeal is being able to choose between a very accessible decorating activity and a fuller introduction to pottery, while being guided by a professional.
