BattleKart Saint-Étienne, in Andrézieux-Bouthéon, combines electric karting with a life-sized video game: virtual scenery, bonuses and obstacles are projected directly onto the track and interact with the karts.
What to know before booking
- Minimum height 1.45 m, with no fixed minimum age.
- A session lasts 15 minutes, including getting into and out of the kart.
- 2 to 12 players can join the same session.
- Sessions are not automatically private when a group has fewer than the maximum number of players.
What kind of experience is it?
Like a racing game inspired by Mario Kart, BattleRace combines driving real karts, bonuses projected onto the floor and virtual attacks; it is not an officially licensed Nintendo attraction. Other modes introduce cooperation or different objectives, so outright speed is not always enough to win.
For groups
Team-building events, seminars and private outings can be organised. The centre also has music-quiz rooms, a meeting room and a bar with panoramic views over the track.
Practical tip
BattleKart is at 6 impasse Saint-Exupéry, 42160 Andrézieux-Bouthéon. Advance booking is recommended, particularly on Fridays, Saturdays and during school holidays.
An extra detail
This is a good choice for groups with widely varying driving skills: the game mechanics level the playing field much more than conventional timed karting.
