At the port of Cagnes-sur-Mer, the École de Voile Municipale offers courses, year-round lessons and equipment hire for Optimist dinghies, catamarans, windsurfing, paddleboarding, WingFoil and WindFoil. Children and adults are welcomed in groups suited to their ability.
How do the 2026 courses work?
Courses run over 5 half-days, Monday to Friday, during the spring, summer and autumn half-term holidays. They are open from age 7, provided participants can swim 25 metres and submerge themselves. In 2026, Optimist and HC14 cost €120, windsurfing €100 for teenagers / €120 for adults, and HC16 €140 for teenagers / €160 for adults, excluding the FFVoile passport.
Can you hire equipment?
From 6 July to 21 August 2026, hire is available Monday to Saturday. For the general public, 1 hour costs €40 for a catamaran, €25 for windsurfing and €15 for paddleboarding.
Something extra
Individual lessons offer a chance to try more technical disciplines: WingFoil and WindFoil are offered in 1-hour-30-minute sessions, from €90 for one person at the public rate.
The school therefore combines traditional introductory sailing with newer board sports in a small-scale municipal centre.
