Opened in 2026 in Annecy's former Haras stud farm, Halle du Haras combines a covered market and dining in a 1,300 m² building. It brings together around twenty local or regional artisans and producers, with food counters where visitors can put together a meal before gathering around the long communal table or at the central Biltoki bar.
Why this food hall is worth visiting
The setting is clearly different from an ordinary food hall: it is part of the extensive heritage site of the Haras, redeveloped with a 2.6-hectare landscaped park and the Cité internationale du cinéma d’animation. It therefore fits naturally into a walk or cultural visit around central Annecy.
What can you eat?
The 2026 selection combines local seasonal cooking, butchers and charcuterie, cheese, seafood, Italian, Japanese, Mexican and other Asian caterers, patisserie and a wine shop. Everyone orders from their chosen counter before the group meets at the same table.
What to know before visiting
The hall opens in the morning and stays open into the evening from Tuesday to Saturday, closing earlier on Sundays. It is closed on Mondays.
An extra detail: it is one of the few French food halls where visitors can combine a market, lunch, park and animation film centre within one heritage complex.
