The Hôtel Abbatial de Lunéville occupies the former presbytery, converted into a museum space on two levels. A visit takes you inside a recreated 18th-century interior, with furniture, works of art and decorative features chosen to evoke life in a provincial aristocratic or upper-middle-class home.
A recreated 18th-century apartment
Upstairs, the route functions as a true period room. A dining room, alcove bedroom, porcelain room, study with a cabinet of curiosities and spaces devoted to the arts of coffee, tea and chocolate reveal the customs and decoration of an interior of the period. Wallpapers, chandeliers, paintings and decorative objects contribute to this recreation.
Exhibitions that extend the visit
The ground floor hosts temporary exhibitions, often linked to the 18th century and the history of Lunéville. The venue thus complements a visit to the nearby château with a more intimate approach to decorative arts and everyday life.
