Departing from Le Val-Saint-Père airfield, near Avranches, Normandie ULM Mont Saint Michel offers introductory flights by weight-shift microlight and autogyro above one of France's most spectacular landscapes. The airfield itself is unusual: it is described as the only floodable airfield in France.
From Mont-Saint-Michel to Cancale or Granville
The current routes offer several ways to explore the area:
- 20 minutes: a circuit around Mont-Saint-Michel, from €100 by weight-shift microlight or €110 by autogyro;
- 30 minutes: the bay and the cliffs of Champeaux, from €140;
- 45 minutes: Carolles, Jullouville, Granville or Cherrueix and Cancale, from €190;
- 60 minutes: an extended route towards Cancale or Granville, from €230.
An unforgettable view from the air
This microlight introductory flight over Mont-Saint-Michel is particularly well suited to appreciating the bay's vast scale and the contrasts between salt marshes, tidal flats, cliffs and coastline. The activity is open to passengers aged 10 and over, with a stated maximum weight of 95 kg when dressed and a maximum height of 1.95 m. Flights are, of course, weather-dependent.
