In Bellerive-sur-Allier, Stade aquatique Léon Marchand - Vichy Communauté combines sport swimming, water games and wellbeing. Its 500 m² balneotherapy and leisure area beneath the 'blue dome' includes a teaching pool, an area for young children, bubble benches, massage jets, a current river and a whirlpool bath.
What is available for swimming?
The site has an outdoor 50 × 21 m Olympic pool and an indoor 25 × 21 m sports pool. From September to June, opening of the outdoor Olympic pool depends on the season, weather and sporting events.
Is it suitable for families?
Yes. In addition to the leisure area, a 40-metre slide completes the facilities. In summer, the outdoor poolside areas, water games and playground extend the outing beyond the pools.
How much does admission cost in 2026?
Adult admission costs €6 for Vichy Communauté residents and €7.40 for other visitors. For ages 3–17, it costs €4.10 or €4.90; children under 3 enter free. The family package for 2 adults and 2 children is displayed at €15.70 for residents and €20.40 for non-residents.
A little something extra
The wellbeing area adds a hot tub, sauna, cold plunge pool and massage showers to aquatic access. It is open from age 16, with minors required to be accompanied by an adult.
Good to know before you visit
From September to June, opening times vary considerably by day: for example, the centre stays open until 21:30 on Tuesdays and Fridays during school terms, but closes at 13:00 on Sundays. Swimming shorts are prohibited; close-fitting swimwear is required and a swimming cap is recommended.
Stade aquatique Léon Marchand stands out above all for combining a genuine Olympic pool, a substantial family area and wellbeing facilities on the same site.
