In Blérancourt, La Réserve Exotique is an association-run animal park devoted to uncommon species, including lemurs, small primates and, since 2026, meerkats. The site has around fifteen species and focuses on close observation rather than a very large zoological trail.
A little something extra
Two walk-through enclosures allow visitors to enter areas where lemurs live, following a marked path. This proximity noticeably changes the experience compared with a visit behind glass or conventional fences.
With children
Two shaded picnic areas are provided in the park. Children under 3 enter free, and activities available by reservation complement the visit, including 'keeper for a day' or a special encounter with the lemurs and meerkats.
2026 opening times
Outside school holidays, the reserve opens on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 14:00 to 18:00. During shorter school holidays, it opens every day from 14:00 to 18:00; from 1 July to 31 August, every day from 10:00 to 19:00.
La Réserve Exotique stands out above all through its human scale and walk-through enclosures, which allow particularly close observation of certain animals.
