In Aubusson, Brasserie du Plateau offers several hands-on formats for learning how to make beer. During the private workshops, participants develop a recipe, then brew and boil the wort in a small group before collecting bottles from their batch several weeks later.
Half a day or a full day
The Capsule 1 package runs from 14:00 to 18:30 and costs €90 per person. Participants work in groups of three or four, develop their recipe, brew and take part in a blind tasting. Capsule 2, from 09:00 to 18:00, costs €110 and adds a beer-themed meal, cooling the brew and preparing for fermentation.
Six large bottles to collect
The brewery then handles fermentation and bottling. Around a month and a half later, each participant collects a box of six 75 cl bottles of the beer they made, with personalised labels.
Dates still available in late 2026
The half-day workshop lists sessions on 19 September, 17 October and 14 November 2026, among other dates. Pre-arranged groups of 3 to 20 people can also organise a dedicated package on request.
The main appeal of Brasserie du Plateau is the choice of how far to immerse yourself in brewing: a practical half-day covers making and understanding the process, while the full day explores the brew in more depth, right up to preparation for fermentation.
