Housed in a former boat shed on the right bank, Les Chantiers de la Garonne combines a restaurant, bar, sandy beach, watersports club and craft brewery. From quai de Queyries, there are expansive views of the Garonne and Bordeaux's 18th-century façades.
Feet in the sand
The venue stands out above all for its relaxed setting: second-hand sofas, reclaimed-wood furniture, a sunny terrace and a private beach beside the river. The homemade cooking follows the seasons, featuring fish, seafood, oysters, pizzas and local produce, particularly from the Gironde estuary and Arcachon Bay.
Local beers and a lively atmosphere
The LALUNE brewery next door supplies several organic beers brewed on site from grain grown and malted in south-western France. In summer, DJ sets, concerts, performances and events regularly bring the venue to life.
Good to know: Les Chantiers de la Garonne does not take bookings. The venue is at 21 quai de Queyries, Bordeaux.
