In Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Golf Old Course Cannes Mandelieu is one of France’s oldest golf clubs: founded in 1891 with Harry Shapland Colt, it now covers 74 hectares planted with around 4,000 umbrella pines. Its main 18-hole course is particularly known for an unusual feature: crossing the Siagne by ferry between holes 3 and 13.
Which course should you choose?
The venue offers several formats. The 18-hole Old Course is the main course; Grand Duc offers nine holes for a shorter round, while Pitch & Putt Petit Prince is better suited to the short game and practice.
What are the advertised prices in 2026?
- 18-hole Old Course: €150 for the day; late-day green fee €99;
- Nine-hole Grand Duc: €45 per round or €65 for the day;
- Pitch & Putt: €30 for the day.
Do you need to know how to play already?
For the main course, the club currently requires a handicap index below 34 and a licence. Grand Duc requires a green card and a licence. The driving range, however, is accessible to licence holders and allows you to practise without immediately heading out for 18 holes.
Good to know before visiting
The golf club is open all year at 265 route du Golf. A performance area complements the driving range for players wishing to work on their swing and putting before their round.
An extra highlight
Crossing the Siagne by ferry is not simply a scenic feature: it is part of the 18-hole round and gives the Old Course a character very different from that of a conventional hinterland course.
