The École de voile municipale du Lavandou offers courses and supervised sessions from the beach opposite the town hall. The organisation welcomes children, teenagers and adults across several types of craft.
What can you try?
Activities notably include Optimist dinghies, windsurfing, dinghy sailing and catamarans. Saturday morning windsurfing lasts about 2 hours and is available from age 12; catamaran sessions are also offered for adults.
What to know before visiting
In July and August, the school operates from Monday to Saturday. Outside the season, it offers a regular programme as well as courses during certain school holidays. Sailors who are already independent can also take part in supervised free sailing according to their FFVoile level.
The extra touch
The municipal organisation allows visitors to progress from a summer introduction to more regular practice throughout the year without changing provider.
