On the seventh floor of B&B Hôtel Clermont Centre, Le Roof des Volcans opens onto a terrace overlooking Clermont-Ferrand and the Chaîne des Puys volcanic range. It is more of a panoramic sky bar than a traditional restaurant: people come primarily for a drink, a few sharing plates and the view.
Rooftop drinks or a full dinner?
In the evening, the menu centres on cocktails, wine and sharing dishes. For a more conventional meal in the same hotel complex, Restaurant Anatole is better suited; Le Roof is the choice when views and rooftop atmosphere matter most.
Sunday brunch
The venue also hosts brunches on selected Sundays with reservations. Some dates sell out weeks in advance, so book as soon as your preferred slot becomes available.
Do you need to book for a drink?
Outside brunches and special events, entry is generally walk-in. Places with the best views towards the volcanoes are naturally the most sought after on clear days.
Before you visit
Le Roof is at 3 impasse Kepler, 63000 Clermont-Ferrand. Private parking is available on site and a lift takes visitors to the seventh floor. The rooftop can also be hired privately for events, with layouts for approximately 25 to 250 people.
The extra touch is the chance to enjoy something simple—a sunset drink—alongside a remarkable panorama of Clermont and the Auvergne mountains.
