Blue Flamingo is a floating restaurant at the end of Presqu’île André Malraux in Strasbourg. Built specifically for the project, the establishment rests on the water but is not a cruise barge: it remains moored, although the setting immediately feels different from an ordinary restaurant.
Creative cooking and water views
The menu changes regularly, featuring modern cooking inspired by French gastronomy and flavours from elsewhere. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal produce, with a short selection of starters, main courses and desserts changing over the weeks.
The draw is as much the food as the setting: large windows, light reflecting off the water and a contemporary atmosphere on the peninsula make a simple lunch or dinner feel like an occasion.
A panoramic rooftop in fine weather
From May to late September, Blue Flamingo's roof becomes a rooftop bar open in the afternoon and evening. Cocktails, tapas and panoramic water views create a more relaxed atmosphere, particularly suited to an aperitif, after-work drinks or an evening with friends.
Blue Flamingo therefore offers two complementary experiences:
- A floating restaurant for lunch or dinner;
- A seasonal rooftop for drinks and tapas.
