In Tanneron, FranceEucaMimosa opens the doors of a family-run farm dedicated to mimosa and eucalyptus. The estate covers 90 hectares, including 15 hectares of production, with expertise passed down over two generations.
What can you see during the visit?
Depending on the option chosen and the season, the visit may include plantations, a 4x4 Mimosa Tour, a Provençal breakfast and a tour of the forcing room. Here visitors discover how harvested branches are prepared to achieve consistent flowering before being shipped.
The estate grows several varieties of mimosa. Dealbata and Mirandole are particularly intended for bouquets, while Decurrens, a wild mimosa, is used in perfumery. Harvesting and sorting are carried out by hand on the farm.
Why visit in winter?
The visit is especially meaningful during mimosa season, when Tanneron turns yellow. It takes you beyond the landscape photographed from the road to discover the agricultural work behind it: cultivation, harvesting, forcing and flower preparation.
Estate visits are subject to conditions and must be booked. For anyone wishing to discover the Pays de Fayence through its local produce rather than just its villages, this is a particularly revealing place.
