In Sainte-Lucie-de-Tallano, U Palazzu introduces visitors to Corsican olive growing through a family estate, hundred-year-old olive trees and a restored historic mill. Jean-Christophe Arrii produces Oliu di Corsica PDO olive oil here and welcomes visitors to explain his work.
What will you discover on site?
The visit explores the relationship between olive trees, the village and production methods passed down through the family. The historic mill provides context for olive processing and the evolution of local expertise.
Why is this stop worth making?
Sainte-Lucie-de-Tallano has strong ties to olive growing. U Palazzu therefore offers an understanding of a defining feature of the Alta Rocca terroir through a working producer, rather than simply a tasting detached from its setting.
Good to know in 2026
Visitors are welcomed from April to October 2026, by appointment. The estate produces PDO oil from its olive trees, and the tourist office mentions notes of black olives and dried fruit.
The extra touch
U Palazzu combines present-day production, family heritage and a historic mill. It is a short but deeply local stop, particularly fitting for a stay combining Bavella, Levie and the villages of Alta Rocca.
