In Lyon's 3rd arrondissement, Patinoire Baraban welcomes skating enthusiasts at 52 rue Baraban. This municipal facility offers skating in the city during sessions open to the public.
When does Baraban open during the 2026-2027 season?
Patinoire Baraban welcomes the public from 16 September 2026 to 23 May 2027. Outside school holidays: Wednesday 10:00-12:00 and 14:00-16:30, Friday 21:00-23:00, Saturday 14:00-17:00 and 18:00-20:00, Sunday 10:00-12:00 and 14:30-17:30. Additional sessions are offered during the holidays. Public holidays and sporting events may close public access.
How much does skating at Baraban cost?
In 2026, the Ville de Lyon lists €4 for full-price admission (€2.70 reduced), or €8 for admission and skate hire (€6 reduced). The ticket office closes 30 minutes before the end of each session. Children under 12 must be accompanied, and the changing room requires a token or a €1 coin for a locker.
An activity to plan around the timetable
As at other municipal ice rinks, public skating sessions are separate from periods devoted to other sporting uses or ice maintenance. The timetable may change during holidays, events and technical closures.
Before you visit
Consult the information published by the Ville de Lyon to check sessions, prices and access arrangements for your planned day. Beginners should also plan their equipment for comfortable skating. Baraban's location in a residential district of Lyon makes an ice-skating outing possible without heading to the outskirts.
