In Grasse, Fabrique des Fleurs Fragonard offers visitors a chance to discover how a perfume is made, then try composing one themselves. Opened in 1986, this modern factory combines production, laboratory and workshops introducing perfumery.
From the tour to creating a perfume
The free guided factory tour presents the main stages of production, from raw materials to packaging. It ends with a scent-identification game to test your nose before, if you wish, continuing with a workshop.
Create your own eau de Cologne
The Atelier Apprenti Parfumeur is for participants aged 12 and over. Guided by the Fragonard team, each person works with aromatic, citrus and orange blossom notes to customise their own eau de Cologne. Workshops take place in French or English and require booking.
The extra touch is the combination of experiences: you can observe a working perfumery and then experiment with fragrance accords yourself, at a Grasse perfume house founded in 1926.
