Inside the Maison du Lac de Saint-Cassien, the Espace Découverte du Pays de Fayence traces the development of the area's nine villages. Opened in 2018, this free exhibition connects today's landscapes with their history: the influence of geology, water management, historic mills, and the construction of the dam and hydroelectric power station. An interactive model projects the relief and villages; touchscreens, a cabinet of curiosities and a holographic aquarium help visitors discover local wildlife and plants. Allow around 45 minutes for a visit, alone or with family, before enjoying activities at the lake. The exhibition is on the RD 37, with nearby parking and an on-site shop. During certain summer periods, the tourist office also offers paid guided tours by reservation, which should not be confused with free admission. Please note: opening days and hours vary by season and may include closures; check that the exhibition is open before making a special trip.
