In the countryside around Fayence, L'Escourtin is located at the Moulin de la Camandoule, a former 17th-century olive oil mill converted into a hotel and restaurant. Meals are served in a dining room within the old mill or on the terrace, surrounded by trees.
Eating in a former olive oil mill
The building's heritage is more than just a name: part of the restaurant occupies the former mill room, allowing diners to appreciate the building's history during their meal. This restored architecture sets L'Escourtin apart from a conventional Provençal restaurant.
Simple seasonal cooking
The restaurant offers generous dishes that change with the available produce and the chef's ideas. In fine weather, Saturday jazz evenings sometimes complement dinner.
Good to know in 2026: the restaurant season is advertised from 11 April to 31 October. Accommodation and other uses of the site have their own arrangements: check which services are open before visiting out of season.
