On the southern arm of Lac de Saint-Cassien, by the Maison du Lac, Le Club Nautique combines equipment hire, a sailing school and courses for children. It is a worthwhile centre for those who want to take part in activities on the lake rather than simply settle on the shore.
What can you hire?
The club offers pedalos, paddleboards and kayaks for much of the year. In July and August, catamarans are also available. Activities take place on the southern arm of the lake, with instruction available depending on the activity and weather.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes. The sailing school runs Dinghy Fun for children aged 6 to 12, as a full-day activity or a two-hour course. Sessions may combine sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking and other watercraft depending on conditions.
The extra touch
Le Club Nautique shares the site with Le Ponton and its restaurant. This makes it possible to plan a whole day at the lake: supervised activity or equipment hire in the morning, a break on site, then a return to the water or beach in the afternoon.
For discovering Saint-Cassien beyond swimming, it is one of the most versatile places in the area.
