In Saint-Paul-en-Forêt, Domaine de Trestaure offers a chance to discover a working farm that goes beyond direct sales: visits to the olive grove are available by appointment, and tasting is part of the experience.
Why visit?
The estate has around 1,200 olive trees. Several varieties grow here, including Aglandau, Lucques, Picholine and heritage varieties. The oil produced on site has won several regional and national awards, while the farm follows a High Environmental Value approach.
What do you do on site?
The visit offers a close look at the work involved in tending the olive grove and a chance to discuss production. A tasting is offered, with the possibility of discovering other farm products depending on what is available.
The extra touch
Trestaure is an interesting place to understand the Pays de Fayence through farming itself: olive varieties, grove management and oil production become the central themes of the visit.
Before you visit
Visits to the olive grove are by appointment. As arrangements can change with the seasons, it is best to check before travelling.
