Moulin d'Opio welcomes visitors to discover how olive oil is made at a site whose earliest records date back to the 15th century. The tour contrasts the historic mill with today's production facilities, following one central theme: how locally grown olives become locally produced oil.
A short visit for individual travellers
In 2026, a guided visit is offered Tuesday to Saturday at 2:30 pm. Lasting around 20 minutes, it is free and does not require advance booking, although registration on site is subject to available places. This practical short format lets visitors see the facilities and understand the main stages of olive milling without setting aside a whole afternoon.
More in-depth visits for groups
For groups of six or more, the mill also offers private tours lasting one to one and a half hours, in French, English or Spanish. Tours may include tastings of olive oils and local produce. Visitors can also explore the site's history through three generations of mills, from the 17th, 20th and 21st centuries.
The shop rounds off the experience with olive oils and Provençal local specialities. What makes the venue special is the tangible connection between traditional olive-growing heritage and contemporary production.
