In an old house in the village of Tourrettes, the Musée d'Art et d'Essais celebrates the work of Paul-Maurice Perrier-Morillon, a decorative metalworker and writer known as PM-PM. Worked-metal pieces, paintings and works by Tourrettes artists are displayed in this municipal space at the heart of the open-air art trail.
What will you discover in the museum?
The collection of paintings and metalwork comes in particular from a donation by the artist's wife, Odette Perrier. Paintings and sculptures by other local creators complement the permanent display, while the ground floor occasionally hosts exhibitions, including around Mireille Cristol's work in 2026. The Tourrettes tourist information office, its shop and a café are also in the building.
Before you visit
Admission is free at 4 rue de la Jetterie, Tourrettes (83440). In October 2026, the office advertises opening from Tuesday to Saturday between 20 and 31 October, then mainly on Wednesdays from November to December; opening times vary with holidays and exhibitions. Check the office's calendar before travelling. The Boudoura and Maison des Associations car parks provide free parking for the village.
The extra touch: continue along the Tourrettes trail, discovering artworks on the façades, then visit the Musée Baston - Ostoya, another municipal museum: these are three complementary experiences, not three names for the same establishment.
