Paddling opposite Île d'Or in Saint-Raphaël
Base Nautique de la Plage de l'Île d'Or hires out stand-up paddleboards and kayaks directly from Plage du Débarquement, opposite the red rocks of Le Dramont. From the sea, you can follow the small coves and reach parts of the coast that are difficult to access on foot, depending on conditions and the chosen hire duration.
Solo or giant paddleboard?
The centre offers individual paddleboards as well as a giant paddleboard for up to 8 people, with hire periods from 30 minutes to 3 hours. Kayaks are available in solo or tandem versions. A buoyancy aid is supplied and participants must be able to swim before taking to the water. The activity is advertised from age 6.
Good to know for the 2026 season
The centre is open every day from 1 June to 20 September 2026, from 09:00 to 18:00. It is on boulevard de la 36e Division du Texas, with parking nearby. As the sea is more exposed than a lake, check the wind and water conditions before choosing the duration: an outing towards the coves may be shortened if conditions deteriorate.
