The Bureau des Guides de Canyon - Expérience Verdon, in Castellane, organises canyoning trips in the Verdon and Southern Alps, with routes suitable for families and sporty participants alike.
Which canyon is best for beginners?
Kid’s Canyon is suitable from age 5 and lasts half a day. Le Mas canyon, from age 8, offers more variety with water passages and obstacles suited to the group's ability.
For a more demanding outing
The Riolan, Aiglun and La Lance canyons take a full day and are intended for more experienced participants or those in good physical condition. Depending on the route, expect swimming, abseiling, jumps and lengthy passages through narrow gorges.
2026 prices
Options start at €45 per person for Kid’s Canyon, €55 for Le Mas and rise to €90 for certain full-day routes. Technical equipment is provided by the guides.
What to know before booking
The bureau selects routes according to ability, location and weather conditions. Departures take place from different sites around Castellane and the Verdon.
The main strength of the offer is its wide range of difficulty levels: a five-year-old can discover a suitable canyon, while a sporty adult can embark on a much more demanding full-day outing.
