Le Riva is located in the Rotonde Est of the Impérial Palace, at the heart of Casino Impérial d'Annecy. Large windows look directly onto the lake, while the dining room retains a more subdued atmosphere: pastel furniture, a high ceiling and an imposing chandelier made by a glassblower from Menthon-Saint-Bernard.
The venue's character changes most noticeably as the evening progresses. During the day, you can have a fairly quiet lunch; from 20:00, the restaurant takes on the atmosphere of traditional gaming tables and poker tournaments. This combination of panoramic restaurant and casino is what really justifies its classification among unusual restaurants.
Italian cuisine, but not only
The current menu favours Italian and Mediterranean flavours: antipasti, bruschette, risotti, the chef's pizzas, as well as more traditional dishes and cuts of meat. The restaurant advertises a seasonal menu based on fresh, local produce.
In 2026, the casino's advertised prices are particularly clear:
- dish of the day: €19;
- daily set menus from €24;
- Dolce Vita menu;
- seasonal à la carte dishes.
The official Impérial Palace shop currently offers the Dolce Vita gift package at €94 for two people. It includes a starter, main course and dessert from a selection, a bottle of water, 25 cl of wine per person according to the maître d'hôtel's package, and coffee. This gives a good indication of the cost of a full meal, although the menu on site may change.
A little extra: dine, then play without changing venues
Le Riva is one of the few places in the area where you can truly follow your meal with an evening at the casino without leaving the building. The Impérial even offers a “Menu Dolce Vita & Jeu” gift package at €134 for two, combining dinner with gaming credit.
For a couple or a group of friends, this is probably the most coherent way to enjoy the venue: book late enough for the gaming-table atmosphere to be established, then continue the evening at the casino after dessert.
Please note: this restaurant is strictly for adults
This is the essential difference from La Table de l'Impérial in the same complex. Le Riva is within the casino itself: access is therefore restricted to adults who are not barred from gambling, with valid ID compulsory.
For people who are not nationals of the Schengen area, the casino states that a passport is required. This is therefore not a suitable venue for a family meal with children, even if you are only coming to dine.
Poker tournaments may affect opening
Another very specific detail: the regional tourist office states that Le Riva may be closed during certain poker tournaments. As the restaurant is directly integrated into the gaming area, the casino's programme can sometimes take precedence over normal operations.
It is therefore advisable to check the casino's calendar or booking system before planning an evening, especially on a weekend with a poker event.
Opening times for 2026
Casino Impérial currently advertises:
- restaurant open every day;
- lunch: 12:00–14:00;
- dinner: 19:00–22:00;
- until 23:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.
The casino itself stays open much later, generally until 02:00 on weekdays and until 04:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. You can therefore easily extend your evening after the meal.

La Table or Le Riva: which should you choose?
Both restaurants share the Impérial Palace address and a very beautiful lake view, but they serve different purposes. La Table is more refined, quieter and open to everyone; Le Riva is more relaxed, more Italian and, above all, integrated into the casino.
For MesLoisirs, I therefore keep Le Riva in “Unusual restaurants” rather than merging it with “Restaurants with a view”. The view is superb, but what really makes the experience distinctive is dining in the middle of a casino, in a room whose atmosphere changes when gaming begins.
