At Fayence-Tourrettes, AAPCA introduces visitors to gliding above the Pays de Fayence, one of France's major gliding locations. For around 30 minutes, the two-seat glider flies above Fayence, Tourrettes, Montauroux, Callian, Seillans or Saint-Paul-en-Forêt, depending on the day's soaring conditions.
€160 for an adult, €140 for under-18s
The discovery flight costs €160 for an adult and €140 for under-18s. The gift voucher remains valid for one year. Flying takes place throughout the year and introductory flights are generally organised from around midday, when conditions become favourable.
How far can you see?
In clear weather, the panorama can extend from the Prealps to the Mediterranean: Cap d’Antibes, Cannes, Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël and sometimes considerably further. The scenery is never guaranteed, however, as the route depends primarily on thermal updraughts and the weather.
Before you visit
The club generally asks visitors to book several days ahead and recommends checking conditions on the morning of the flight. The stated limits are approximately 55 to 100 kg and 1.55 to 1.90 m. Closed-toe shoes, sunglasses and clothing covering the shoulders are advised.
Something extra: Fayence combines renowned soaring conditions, Provençal mountains and, when visibility allows, a horizon reaching the Mediterranean.
