A stone’s throw from the Louvre, la Distillerie de l’Arbre Sec is a genuine urban micro-distillery: its gins, vermouths and liqueurs are made here in Paris using French botanicals. The tour therefore lets you see a working production site, rather than simply a bar or tasting space.
What do you see during the tour?
For around 1 hour, the team introduces the production areas and explains the main stages of gin distillation: selecting plants, extracting aromas, blending and the thinking behind the recipes. The appeal is being able to observe this craft on a small scale, in the heart of the 1st arrondissement.
What do you taste?
The tour ends with a tasting of the house spirits, particularly gin and liqueurs. The distillery produces several gin recipes as well as vermouths and citrus liqueurs.
Know before you go
In 2026, the “distillery tour and tasting” option lasts 60 minutes and is advertised at €30 on the official website. The tour is in French and online booking is recommended.
A little extra
For those who want to go further, the venue also has a dedicated workshop area with 18 miniature stills, where you can create your own gin: a separate experience from the standard tour, but one that shows how far the distillery takes its educational approach to distillation.
