Tourcoing Botanical Garden brings together an old landscaped park, a formal French-style garden, an English-style section and modern educational glasshouses. It is easy to include in a day around town, with a genuine botanical focus rather than being simply a public garden.
What makes it worth visiting
The environmentally designed glasshouses cover approximately 1,200 m² and contain more than 2,000 plant varieties displayed in conditions suited to their habitats. The old Leplat house in the garden also contains a small horticultural museum.
What to know before visiting in 2026
Entry to the garden is free. From 15 March to 31 October, it opens on weekdays from 08:00 to 21:30, on Saturdays from 09:00 to 21:30 and on Sundays and public holidays from 10:00 to 20:30. Hours are shorter in winter.
The glasshouses cannot be visited independently: access is only through scheduled guided tours. Check this before travelling if the glasshouse collections are the main reason for your visit.
The contrast between the historic garden and educational glasshouses is what particularly distinguishes this Tourcoing destination.
