Departing from the old port of Saint-Raphaël, TAKSEA runs small-group excursions along the red rocks of the Estérel and to several destinations on the Côte d’Azur. Depending on the programme, trips take place aboard an exploration boat or the boat Simone.
Which excursion should you choose in 2026?
The trip through the calanques de l’Estérel lasts approximately 2 hours 30 minutes and passes cap Dramont, the bay of Agay and several inlets in the massif. Other trips head to Saint-Tropez, the îles de Lérins or offshore into the Pelagos Sanctuary in search of cetaceans.
Why does TAKSEA call it an exploration boat?
These vessels carry small groups and can approach caves, coves and rocky coastal formations. Depending on the package, stops at anchor, masks and snorkels, drinks or paddleboarding may complement the cruise.
What to know before visiting
For the Estérel trip, the stated minimum age is 5 years, and depending on the programme the company advises against or prohibits trips for women more than 3 months pregnant. The boarding point in Saint-Raphaël is opposite the Le Touring hotel, near Bonaparte car park.
The added attraction is the variety of trips from one port: a short discovery of the Estérel, a day out to the islands or an offshore nature-watching excursion.
