In Tourrettes in the Var, Terre Blanche Golf has two 18-hole courses designed by Dave Thomas. Le Château, measuring 6,616 m, is open to golfers with a handicap below 36; Le Riou, measuring 6,005 m, is reserved for members, their guests and hotel guests.
Which course should you choose?
For a round with a green fee, Le Château is the course to choose: its undulating layout, water hazards and technical greens make it challenging. The 9- or 18-hole packages also include access to the Albatros Golf Performance Center, with driving-range balls and putting and chipping areas.
What to know before visiting
Terre Blanche is at 3100 route de Bagnols-en-Forêt. Booking a tee time is essential, particularly during the tourist season. If you want to play Le Riou, check your eligibility before booking: the second course is not open as a conventional public green-fee course. The resort also offers lessons and packages combining practice and dining.
