Perched in Mons, L'Auberge Provençale prepares recipes from the Pays de Fayence with sweeping views over the Siagne valley and the hills of the Var. Its panoramic terrace is a good reason to linger after walking through the lanes of this Haut-Var village.
At the table: Provençal recipes and local produce
The restaurant showcases regional dishes: courgette cake with tomato coulis, slow-cooked rabbit with tapenade or fish with basil, depending on the menu. Chef Alain Grondin is behind this local cuisine; the establishment also has a bar and tearoom serving pastries.
Important: annual closure
The Pays de Fayence Tourist Office reports a holiday closure from 25 October to 4 December 2026 inclusive. Do not plan a meal during this period. Outside these holidays, Wednesdays are normally closed and service depends on the season: check before booking.
An extra touch
From Mons, the panorama takes in the hills of the Estérel and, on clear days, the Mediterranean. Fancy a typically Provençal meal after exploring the village? Choose a terrace table if the weather permits.
