In Saint-Aygulf, Saint Aygulf Plongée offers snorkelling trips from the harbour to explore Mediterranean underwater life with fins, mask and snorkel. The centre combines supervised trips with more independent options, departing by boat for selected sites along the Fréjus coast.
Can you snorkel with or without an instructor?
Yes. Snorkelling can be done with an instructor, who guides observations of wildlife and plant life, or independently depending on the chosen option. An independent package of approximately 1 hour 15 minutes, available from age 6, is already offered by the centre, with a briefing, equipment provided and supervision from the boat.
How does the trip work?
From Saint-Aygulf harbour, the boat heads to shallow areas suitable for observation from the surface. The benefit is discovering the marine environment without scuba tanks, with a choice of guidance suited to your confidence in the water.
What to know before visiting
Booking is compulsory. In 2026, the Fréjus tourist office states that it is open daily from 1 April to 30 November, then at weekends from 1 December to 31 March 2027. Public transport serves the harbour within 500 m and a car park is nearby.
The added attraction
The combination of a guided trip and an independent option makes this a useful choice for families or groups whose participants have varying levels of confidence in snorkelling.
