In Montauroux, Saint-Cassien Aventures welcomes families to plage de l'Américain, also known as Rocher de l'Américain, on the shores of Lac de Saint-Cassien. This watersports base near the Fondurane nature reserve combines trips on the water, outdoor nature games and relaxation areas.
Pedal boat, paddleboard and canoe hire at Lac de Saint-Cassien
Visitors can explore the shoreline by pedal boat, glide across the lake on a stand-up paddleboard or hire a canoe. The base also offers group boats and playful outdoor adventures. Watersports are advertised as available from 3 years of age and 15 kg, subject to the operator's conditions.
What can children do?
The Petits aventuriers area, designed for 2- to 6-year-olds, offers sensory discoveries and movement games centred on nature. For older children, treasure trails and outdoor adventures provide a range of activities without leaving the base.
Beach, swimming and food
On site, there are relaxation areas, picnic tables and a food service. Swimming at this beach is not supervised: children remain the responsibility of their accompanying adults. For a beach with lifeguards in season, a separate area is provided near the Maison du Lac.
Getting to Saint-Cassien Aventures and parking
The base is at chemin du Gabinet, 83440 Montauroux, beside Lac de Saint-Cassien. The operator advertises more than 70 parking spaces. A summer shuttle stopped here in 2026; check whether it will run again in subsequent seasons.
The activity is mainly seasonal: before visiting outside summer, check opening days and booking arrangements.
