At more than 800 metres above sea level, Mons tells its story through signs depicting historic trades and lanes overlooking the Pays de Fayence. The guided tour also introduces Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption church, known for its six Baroque altarpieces and remarkable collection of Provençal nativity figurines.
Traditions and landscapes
During the walk, the guide discusses the lives of craftspeople and shopkeepers, place Saint-Sébastien and views towards the Estérel. Mons' earlier history also includes prehistoric dolmens and the Roman Siagnole aqueduct; these sites lie outside the immediate village route and can be visited separately.
Before setting off
The tourist information office is on place Saint-Sébastien. In 2026, the tour is offered on Saturday mornings by reservation, at €5 per adult, free for minors, subject to at least four registrations. Conditions can be cooler and windier at this altitude; the outing may be cancelled in bad weather.
